Ancillary Planning
Ancillary Planning

Once the group had decided on a name for the magazine we drew up a clear plan of how the front cover should hopefully look.

The group got together for the planning of the magazine front cover, giving ideas for names, layouts and branding etc. We also used existing TV magazines for inspiration and to gain a greater understanding in to the codes and conventions.

Front cover conventions: weekday tabs, masthead in the top 3rd of the page, cover star anchored to main feature, other soaps included in the corners of the page, strap along the bottom.

Preparation for Trailer
Preperation for Trailer

Once the original planning of the scene was done, we drew up a story board for each scene, and how it should look. Within our story boards we included all the different shot types we would use and what each character will be doing.

The group got together and decided on three main storylines that would feature in our trailer. Writing a full description of what characters are involved and how the scen will pan out.
